So here we go...

This week begins mid-term week. Fortunately for me, I don't really have many exams, one, possibly two. BUT I do have a couple of papers due, and I am really working on getting those done, along with everything else that I normally do. It is going to be a crazy week!

This past weekend I went up to Lansing and stayed with Kelsey and her family. The highlight of the weekend was the dying of our bathroom stuff. We wanted a purple theme to our dorm bathroom, but everything we had was white or green, which made everything pretty blah. The shower curtain, it turns out, was pure polyester, which is "not a suitable fabric" for the dye. In other words it worked about as well as pencil on yogurt--not at all. My camera is dead right now, but I will put pictures up as soon as possible because it actually turned out to look awesome (the bathroom all together, not so much the shower curtain). We have pictures of purple flowers up there, Kelsey took three of the four, and her boyfriend, Aaron, took one of them.

Next weekend I will officially be home from Thursday night to Sunday. I am going to try my hardest to get to everyone. I have alot to do thats for sure! I have to go shopping with Colten and Ali. Ali and I are planning on hanging out with the Kings at some point. And of course I want to see Cassi Rae, Domi, and Tyler--I haven't seen them since before school started!

So here's the dealio....

School is about halfway through the first semester. I have yet to get pictures up here for all of you to see (if there really is anyone that reads this...)

There's not really a whole lot to say. I went to Somerset Beach campground a couple of weekends ago for a weekend our school sponsors called Spiritual Life Retreat. It was cold but it was a lot of fun and I met a bunch of new people. This is Kelsey and I at SLR.
I will be back home in two weeks (the weekend of the twenty-something...) That is fall break. I'm pretty busy that weekend already, but I will try to fit people in!!!

I love you all and see you soon!!!

Finally Here

It has been a busy week to say the least...and I haven't even actually been at school for a whole week. The room is, well, its coming. It still has things that need picked up and needs a little cleaning. But everything, and everyone, is here. We had from Sunday to Wednesday to do absolutely nothing and it was fun.

Thursday I worked from 6:30a to 10a then had classes for the rest of the day.

Yesterday I worked a nine hour shift at the coffee shop, which is going quite well. Then we went to watch Everyday Sunday. It was a blast. To be honest, we probably didn't pay much attention to the band. We talked and had fun. Afterward, a couple of us wandered around campus for a couple hours just talking and laughing and doing nothing. Finally the night ended with Kelsey and I almost falling asleep on the futon watching an episode of Everwood.

Today will consist of homework, driving to Michigan Center to the place I got my ear pierced (the tragus!) and making sure its not infected or anything, and laying on the plaza and watching UP. Ali might also come up this weekend. She has Monday off...so it would be great. We will see!

I have been working on my homework the last couple of days--I have a TON of it already. My classes have been interesting and will be challenging, but so far I love them.

Next weekend I will head to Chicago from Friday to Sunday. Fun stuff. Pictures to come =)

A little closer still....

So it is finally Wednesday--and we get to move in Sunday. It is really a wonderful feeling. Everything for college is packed and ready to go--everything I have at home that is--which, unfortunately isn't much. The bulk of my college stuff stayed with me in Spring Arbor, which is nice because I don't have to haul it far, but there is ALOT of it. Oh, and Harriet's basement (Harriet is the 75-year-old retired missionary Madeline and I are living with), it is the messiest it has been all summer, no lie. We have stuff everywhere! We are trying to work on packing, but we still have different schedules, and this week, so far, has been fairly busy.

Sunday night, Kelsey, Madee, and I babysat for one of our professor's kids. He has a two year old and four-month-old twins. It was so much fun, but we got back late, and Kelsey decided to stay the night.

The next day we took a trip to check out our dorm room, walked around campus a bit, played some ping pong--Kelsey beat me as usual, but I didn't give up without a fight, we go to 21 normally, but I pushed her to 26 I think. Madee and I made chicken teryiaki for dinner, could have been better. Kelsey left, Hannah (madee and I's roommate from first semester) arrived and is staying with another old lady in the subdivision for the school year, and then we went to
bed.

Tuesday I had my first day of work at Jackson Coffee Company. It went well, and for my first day they had me working quite a bit. Usually a first timer works two hours on their first day--I worked six and a half. I had some grumpy customers, and some chatty ones, but it was good.

today I'm going to run some errands, meeting madee at the coffee shop, and then getting my ear pierced. I'm getting the little middle part done--I have wanted that done for YEARS.

The next day I work is Saturday, 10:30 to 1:30 I think. Then heading home for the night. And packing up for SUNDAY!!!!!!!!!! I will be sure to post my address on here as soon as i get it, so all of you who are reading this can send me packages =)

Almost There...Almost...

So I have ONE DAY left. The week has gotten a little better and a little worse.

I spent a couple hours over at my friend Kelsey’s house
Tuesday. She is quite ridiculous so we spent most of the time watching HILARIOUS
videos that her and her friends made in junior high/high school. Then we tackled the beast. And by that I mean her room. By the time I left, you could see the entire floor. It was amazing. Unfortunately, I
did have to return back to Spring Arbor. I had to be back so I could work Wednesday. Only a
couple more days.
Today I went over to this girl named Jessie’s house. She just moved to the area from Northern Idaho. She has a big house, but not really much in it. We ate dinner and talked and then I came back home.

Tomorrow I will most likely be heading home and staying with Grandma Rose and Grandpa Bill for the weekend.

THEN...Sunday, Kelsey and I will be babysitting the Norwood babies =) Woot woot!

Then one week left!

Sad, sad week. . .

So my roommate, Madeline, is gone for the week. The whole, entire week. So here I am left by myself in what is practically a ghost town. I'm borderline depressed. I don't want to do anything because I don't know what to do. And everyone I know has plenty to do, because they aren't wasting most of their day sitting at a desk, doing NOTHING.

Four more days. Four more days. . .
